Happy last day!!! 
I am so proud of Badger class and have loved being their teacher this year. Have a brilliant summer holidays and I will see you around school in September!

This week we began learning about the history of Cadbury Heath Primary School! Did you know the school wasn't always where it is today? It used to be on Cock Road, then it moved to Wraxall road until finally it was built on this site in 1992. We found out that there is a time capsule buried outside the main office and William's uncle actually buried it! We learnt the old building had separate entrances for boys and girls and toilets outside! 

We have asked Mrs Sadler to come and talk to our class to tell us more as she used to go to school at the old site.

This week we wrote instructions on how to grow a sunflower after planting some ourselves! We used magnifying glasses to look closely at our seedlings and have ensured they are watered every day. Hopefully they will continue to grow taller as the weeks go on!

We went on a trip to Bristol Museum today to explore Ancient Egyptian artefacts and the exhibitions. We enjoyed our workshop where we had to guess what the artefacts were used for. 

We even met a member of the Royal family; the Duchess of Gloucestershire. She commented on how engaged we all were with our learning! 

We loved looking at other exhibitions including the dinosaurs, extinct and endangered animals, Roman artefacts and crystals!

This term we have been learning about plants and we made posters with our own knowledge on them. We also took apart some flowers to look at the different parts. We are very proud of our posters! 

In English we were describing a beautiful garden with a lush looking picture. 

We planted sunflower seeds and will be writing instructions soon.

This week we had an exciting opportunity to learn ultimate frisbee! Have a look at our pics! 

We also started our new unit about plants (have a read of our knowledge organiser to find out more). We dissected flowers to explore the parts inside. We also ended the week with our Summer dances, which were amazing!! Well done Badger class!
