Class information

Hello,

My name is Mrs Timms and I have the pleasure of teaching Hedgehog class! 

I have worked at Cadbury Heath Primary School for almost 4 wonderful years! I am also in charge of Music, Art and DT across the school. I have also recently become assistant SENDCO to Mrs Slater. I am really excited to be teaching both Y1 and Y2 within Hedgehog class this year.

Mrs Maloney, Mrs Chapman and Mrs Davies are our teaching partners. 

Important info 

PE

Hedgehog PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays. They need to arrive at school in their PE kit, which includes their house team coloured t-shirt and black shorts/jogging bottoms. 

Reading

As part of our phonics the children will take part in reading sessions three times per week. They will then bring the book home. We expect the children to read fluently by the time they bring it home.

They will also bring home a library book which is for pleasure - they are not expected to read it independently. 

We would like the children to read 5 times per week. Please record all reading in the reading records. 

Reading books are changed every Thursday. New books will not be issued until the previous one has been returned.

Maths

You will have a individual log in for an online platform called "Numbots" which supports the development of number recognition, subitising and counting. We would like the children to access this as often as possible. Certificates are issued for various achievements.
