Term 2

We've had a good start to Term 2 in Fox class! 

In English this week, we started reading a book called The Island and discussed the characters in the story. We also did a recount of the beginning of the story.

In computing, we learned about the importance of strong passwords when going online so we don't get hacked. In RE, we learned about the fifth pillar of Islam (Hajj) which states that every Muslim should make a pilgrimage to Mecca at some point in their life. Also, learned about Anglo-Saxon villages as well as King Alfred the Great, who was king of one of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. Did you know that he is one of the only kings that have been known as 'Great'? In PE, we started a new Gymnastics unit where we practised movement, sometimes even rolling across a mat! We also practised our balance skills, where we took turns to balance along a rope in different ways.
